The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that many of the victims in the attack were burned alive inside their homes. The Wafa news agency quoted the PRCS as saying, "The Israeli bombing on the Gaza Strip resulted in a massacre in the al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, where many of those who died were burned alive inside."
