Christopher Morley was born on May 5, 1890, in Haverford, Pennsylvania. He attended Haverford College and later studied at Oxford University.

Career

Morley began his writing career as a journalist, working for several newspapers in Philadelphia and New York City. He later turned to fiction, publishing his first novel, "Parnassus on Wheels," in 1917. Morley also wrote essays, poems, and several successful stage plays.
